Applications to the Professional Master’s Bursary (PMB) are now open. The bursary is available to MPH, MSc, MScCH and MHSc Bioethics students who demonstrate financial need. Applications close January 17, 2025 at 11:55PM.
Eligibility
Applicants must have applied to OSAP (or state the specific reason for their ineligibility). Students from other provinces/territories should have applied for funding from their home province/territory and submitted an Out of Province UTAPS Application to Enrolment Services (look under How Do I Apply for UTAPS: https://registrar.utoronto.ca/finances-and-funding/utaps/).
All domestic students will now need to complete an application through the Need Navigator to be considered for UTAPS grants and departmental needs-based grants. Graduate students in professional programs are not eligible for UTAPS, although should still complete the Need Navigator application here so that your eligibility can be considered for departmental needs-based grants. If you would like to be considered/assessed for UTAPS and/or need-based departmental financial support, please complete the Need Navigator by January 21, 2025 at the latest.
Students who have made a conscious decision not to apply for provincial funding may be considered ineligible for this bursary. Professional Master’s students may be eligible for a student line of credit through Scotiabank.
Criteria:
1. Full-time domestic and international students are eligible to apply. Part-time students may be eligible on a case by case basis for unforeseen circumstances. Funding will be pro-rated for part-time students.
2. A copy of the 2024-25 OSAP/Provincial Aid assessment must be available to submit with the PMB application.
Application Process
Submit the following items by the PMB application deadline – Friday, January 17, 2025:
– 2024-25 OSAP/ Provincial Aid assessment
– Need Navigator application to central financial aid
– Receipts for expenses- MS Form submission – the form includes a section for financial needs data.
Application Deadline
Submit a completed package via the MS Form by Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:55 PM.
Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered.
Results will be announced in March 2025.
