Adrien Levesque, also known as White Bear Standing, was born in Mississauga, Ontario. He has been interested in spiritual matters and ceremonies since a little boy. His heritage is a mixture of French, Irish, and Cree/Dakota. His ancestors originate from Manitoba, and he is from the Thunderbird Clan.
He currently is the Health Promoter at Anishnawbe Health Toronto and assists the primary team to bridge western medicine practices with traditional practices. He assists clients who are affected by a number of chronic illnesses, which could be linked to a number of Social Health Determinants. By using mindfulness techniques, emotional intelligence, and spiritual aids; he helps community members become more active in their health care plan.
Adrien Levesque, from Anishnawbe Health Toronto, will be speaking about Indigenous Health and Wellness on Friday November 10th.
