Emily Gwun-Shun Lennon

Emily Gwun-Shun Lennon is a social planner focused on municipal substance use policy. In her current work, she conducts public engagement and research and builds relationships with those impacted by the toxic drug crisis. She holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of Alberta and a bachelor of arts in anthropology from McGill University in Montreal. She’s written on inclusive language in health care for the King’s Fund and personal experiences of mental health for The Globe and Mail and Edmonton Journal. For her, ethical journalism means taking an evidence-based perspective grounded in community wisdom. She is interested in mental health, drug policy and cultural safety in health care.
