Biography

Dr. Junqiang Zhao is a health services researcher with a nursing background. His research interests include implementation science, shared decision-making, and patient-oriented research. He approaches his work through a lens of critical realism and complexity science. Dr. Zhao’s methodological expertise includes realist approaches, mixed methods, and complex system approaches for intervention development and evaluation. His current research focuses on promoting patient engagement in healthcare decision-making in forensic mental health settings.
