Since 2013, IHPME Senior Fellow Alison Paprica has been providing research project management courses and workshops for the University of Toronto and, through her consultancy Research Project Management (RPM), for CIHR Health System Impact Fellows, McMaster University, Cornell University, the Canadian Evaluation Society, and many other groups.
Beginning this fall, she will offer webinars and workshops which individuals can register for. Members of the DLSPH community are invited to attend the very first RPM webinar for free from 2pm-3pm on September 6, 2023.
The webinar “Three-page Project Management for Research” focuses on three powerful project management tools for research.
Agenda
1) Page 1: A one-page work breakdown structure (WBS) to establish a common understanding of research project scope in terms of concrete deliverables.
2) Page 2: A deliverable-based Gantt chart schedule to help team members understand how deliverables relate to each other and will come together.
3) Page 3: A deliverable-based tracking sheet for light-touch project monitoring and control during the implementation phase.
4) Instructor responses to top-rated participant questions.
5) Suggested resources for participants who want to learn more about research project management.
6) Webinar evaluation.
