CANUE presents…
Join us for our first webinar of a new project funded by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM). In collaboration with the Canadian Health Association for Sustainability and Equity (CHASE), this project will allow municipal staff to identify, prepare for, and minimize the health risks that climate change presents for high-risk populations within Canadian cities. This project will include knowledge-sharing and capacity-building activities including:
- Webinars
- Case studies
- Workshops
This first webinar will inform municipal staff and local stakeholders about:
- the health and health equity risks presented by climate change;
- the health and health equity benefits associated with local climate mitigation and adaptation measures;
- how the HPC tool can be used by municipalities to identify and prioritize health inequities in their communities when developing climate change mitigation and climate adaptation plans.
Speakers will be:
- Jeffrey Brook, Ph.D., Scientific Director at CANUE and Nominated Principal Investigator
- Kim Perrotta, MHSc, CHASE Executive Director
- Dany Doiron, Ph.D., CANUE Managing Director
