This year the Vaccine Sciences Symposium will take place on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the University of Toronto, Ontario.
The Symposium will bring together health professionals interested in immunization to:
• examine current and emerging immunization research
• share diverse perspectives on scientific questions and spark debate
• develop and strengthen connections with colleagues across Ontario
This is an open invitation for public health and infectious disease physicians, public health nurses, epidemiologists, and researchers with an interest in vaccine preventable diseases and immunization.
Student call for abstracts:
We are now accepting student abstracts for oral presentations for the Symposium.
This year, the student sessions will feature presentations that are three minutes in length, followed by an informal question and answer period. Presentations should cover new programmatic and/or scientific research and knowledge exchange activities relating to:
- the epidemiology of VPDs;
- vaccine safety; or
- immunization program evaluations
Prizes will be awarded for the best presentations.
Please see the attached “Information Sheet” document for details of the submission process and judging.
