Professor Anke-Hilse Maitland-van der Zee is an academic researcher with 25 years’ experience in medical research. Her main research goal is to bring precision medicine into clinical practice, using biomarkers and data science to understand biological pathways thereby optimizing therapy. She has published over 350 scientific articles with an h-index of 49.
Professor Maitland is the head of the Precision Medicine in Respiratory Disease research group at the Amsterdam University Medical Center and is the chair of different (inter)national organizations in which she is known for her innovative plans that guide teams towards new horizons. She is the driving force and chair of the highly successful national research program P4O2 (precision medicine for more oxygen).
