Title: “Workplace exposure to vapours, gases, dusts and fumes: results from a recent systematic review ”
Workplace exposures can cause and/or contribute to COPD. This presentation will include results of a recent systematic review and meta-analyses focussed on the relationship between workplace exposure to vapours, gases, dusts and fumes and COPD.
Presenters: Dr. Susan Tarlo and Dr. Victoria Arrandale
Dr. Susan Tarlo is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto and has a cross appointment at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. She is a respiratory physician at University Health Network and St Michael’s Hospital with a main focus on work-related asthma and respiratory allergy.
Dr. Victoria Arrandale is an Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto where she is the Director of the Centre for Occupational Disease Prevention. Dr. Arrandale’s research focuses on the assessment and prevention of workplace exposures. Her work has examined exposures in a variety of workplaces including mining, construction, nail salons and electronic waste workers.
