About the event
Title: “The Northwestern Ontario Workplace & Worker Health Study”
Workplace mental health is increasingly becoming an important public health concern. To address the issue, the EPID@Work Research Institute launched the Northwestern Ontario Workplace & Worker Health Study, a dynamic prospective cohort study of workers and workplaces across Northwestern Ontario. This presentation will describe the study and present preliminary cross-sectional findings from the baseline cohort data, including the prevalence of mental health disorders and workplace factors associated with these disorders. Improving workplace mental health has implications for society, the economy, and individual worker quality of life.
