Leveraging cross-disciplinary collaborations to improve healthcare in austere environments, both in the sky and on the ground, this symposium will explore the extraordinary possibilities that exist when we translate concepts enabling remote, autonomous healthcare to more challenging environments — from the furthest reaches of space to terrestrial earth.
When you’re far from a hospital setting, time is critical, and resources are limited: supporting autonomous functioning become more important than ever. This is true for providing care in a space station, in an air ambulance, or … in a remote community miles away from a hospital.
