Do you want to learn how to maximize the benefits of your partnerships? We invite faculty members in life sciences to join our Academic Organization Partnership Clinics. These monthly clinics focus on partnership development in the life sciences.
Clinic 2: Ask me Anything: Developing Research Partnerships in the Life Sciences
Join your colleagues for a discussion on how to enhance your research through partnering with external organizations. This session will feature an “ask me anything”-style Q&A with guest speaker Dr. Behdin Nowrouzi-Kia.
Dr. Behdin Nowrouzi-Kia, PhD, is an occupational therapist and assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science. Dr. Nowrouzi-Kia leads the Rehabilitation Sciences Through Occupational Research and Engagement lab (ReSTORE) and has developed funded research partnerships with 9 organizations in the last 3 years to support his research. Join Dr. Nowrouzi to ask him how he formed these partnerships and how they have helped him to further his research. Submit your questions in advance or ask them in the session.
To optimize the clinic’s impact, seats will be limited.
This clinic is hosted by the Temerty Faculty of Medicine (TFOM) and the Centre for Research and Innovation Support (CRIS) with support from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Arts & Science.
In these clinics you will learn:
– What organizations are looking for when forming a partnership
– How to present your research to an industry audience
– How partnerships can benefit your research and create opportunities for your students
– What resources are available to you to form new partnerships
– How to find partners
