The Institute for Pandemics has partnered with the Emerging and Pandemic Infections Consortium (EPIC) and the Temerty Centre for AI Research and Education in Medicine to host a three-part speaker series on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and infectious diseases/public health emergencies.
Moderated by The Globe and Mail’s Ivan Semeniuk, this series is a fascinating exploration of how AI is revolutionizing the way we detect and respond to infectious diseases and public health emergencies. All the events are free and offered in a hybrid format.
Join us for the second session, on October 23, 2024 at 11:00 am ET for a discussion on how AI and crowdsourcing can provide actionable insights to address the rise in negative patient reviews of hospital visits and create more resilient and responsive healthcare environments. Keynote speaker Zahra Shakeri (Dalla Lana School of Public Health) will be joined by ER physician, Devin Singh (The Hospital for Sick Children) and Elham Dolatabadi (York University).
We will again be hosting a students-only lunch after the session to allow students to engage and network with our esteemed speakers and panelists. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
