DLSPH welcomes Alanna McKnight as Graduate Assistant

The DLSPH is pleased to announced that Alanna McKnight has joined the DLSPH community today as our new Graduate Assistant in the Public Health Sciences Graduate Office, filling Diane Tang’s maternity leave. In this role, Alanna will work closely with the Grad Office team to provide detailed information to current and prospective graduate students, staff, faculty, and visitors. She will also support student applications, provide administrative support to Admissions Committee(s), maintain student data on ROSI, support the faculty of the PHS Intro Courses, and coordinate logistics for Grad Office events.
Alanna is a graduate of York University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Arts in Canadian History. She also holds a Certificate in Archives and Records Management from George Brown College.
Previously, Alanna was a Graduate Assistant at U of T’s School of Economics where she responded to admission inquiries from potential applicants, provided student enrolment advice, prepared TA contracts and coordinated final exams, among other duties. Before joining U of T, she was a Department Administrator in Ryerson University’s Criminology Department.
