Professor Steven Narod receives prestigious Killam Prize

Congratulations to world renowned breast cancer researcher Steven Narod, who will receive the Killam Prize from the Canada Council for the Arts at a ceremony on May 3, 2016.

Narod is a Professor of Epidemiology, Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a senior scientist at Women’s College Research Institute, where he directs the Familial Breast Cancer Research Unit. He is recognized for his significant contributions to breast and ovarian cancer research, particularly around risk assessment for breast and ovarian cancer and how to reduce mortality among women who have BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations.
