Strategic Plan 2012-15
The DLSPH 2012-15 Strategic Plan, launched in April of 2012, provided the framework for the School’s activities for the next three years. It was the outcome of a broad consultation with faculty, learners, staff and key external stakeholders.
The Plan laid out a new general vision, mission and a set of strategic directions with provided goals and proposed actions for each direction. It builds on the School’s strengths and is designed to enhance DLSPH’s leadership in education, interdisciplinary public and population health research, and knowledge creation and exchange. A renewed emphasis on partnerships provides new opportunities for academic and research collaborations—locally, nationally and internationally.
Simultaneously, in partnership with leadership of the University and the Faculty of Medicine, the DLSPH began the process of becoming a stand-alone Faculty. This process was completed on July 1, 2013, when, following approval by the University of Toronto's Governing Council, the Dalla Lana School of Public Health became the first new Faculty at the University in 15 years
